SMI Verspaning has a wide range of advanced machines capable of machining different type of metals, shapes and dimensions. With our most advanced fives axis milling machine, the DMU 80P Duoblock, a workpiece of 800mm x 1050mm x 800mm can automatically be machined into the desired shape by the 60 different tools the machine possesses. All parts or products can be created in singular or batch with the highest precision.

Thanks to the experience gained over the last 30 years, we can develop an optimised solution for you and your specific application. For all our customers we want to be a total solution supplier, not limited to the supply of our current produced products and structure but also want to challenge ourselves to take maximum advantage of our highly advanced and modern machinery. OVERVIEW

Machining Center Six Axis

SMI Verspaning has since 2018 a Keppler HDC 3000 milling machine that is capable of 6-axis milling. In addition to the 5th axis (B axis – turning the spindle head), it is with 6-axis milling possible to tilt the spindle head forward and backward (C axis). Thanks to a higher number of axis, more 3D milling operations are possible in a one-workpiece set-up, allowing higher accuracy and efficiency. In addition to the extra C-axis, the Keppler HDC 3000 milling machine is capable of processing very large workpieces (table in mm).

Machining Center Five Axis

SMI Verspaning possesses five milling machines capable of 5-axis milling of which 3 capable of 5-axis simulteanous. All our 5-axis milling machines have automatic tool switching to speed up the process and create maximum efficiency. (table in mm)

Machining Center Three Axis

Our 3-axis machining centres are fully CNC controlled with the ability to move the head vertically along the Z-axis. With our wide range of tools, the precision and efficiency is much higher compared to alternative milling equipment. (table in mm)

High Precision CNC Turning

Our CNC Lathes/turning centers are fully computer controlled with the ability to move the head along the X and Z-axis. This makes it possible to create a wide varity of shapes. With our wide range of tools, the precision and efficiency is much higher compared to alternative turning equipment. When turning is no option, milling can create complex parts. (table in mm)

Accurate Measuring 3D Scan

Thanks to the accurate measuring system Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex S , even the smallest deviations (up to 0.001 millimeters) can be detected. Avoiding deviations are especially necessary within moving parts, medical equipment and high demanding markets to guarantee maximum safety and durability of the product.

The system can create comprehensive reports of series products, so any imperfections can be excluded. In addition, the software offers the ability to compare existing CAD drawings with a scanned physical product to check the correct sizes and tolerances. Once our measurment tool has created the 3D scan, the software continues with analyzing and measuring the product making sure that any problems in the future will be prevented.

Automatic Loading Robot System

The Halter is a robotic system for automatic loading and unloading of the milling machine or machining centre. The computer controlled robot can be connected to any of our milling machines and easily moved from one machine to another to offer maximum flexiblity to our customers. As all our milling machines can be equipped with the “Robot Halter” for fully automatic loading and unloading of the machine, it makes it ideal of batches from 10 – 1000 workpieces without any deviations within the parts or products.

The automatic loading and unloading systems gives us the possibility to operate 24/7 and hereby shorten the delivery times to our customers. With a higher efficiency on our workfloor, less deviations within the batch will occur as a smaller amount of procedures needs to be executed during the production.

Welded constructions

Wishbone suspension parts for an all terrain transportable vehicle. The combination of welding and milling created a strong durable structure.

Perfect Cylindrical

Turning is especially interesting when large cylindrical shaped work pieces needs to be processed. Turning machines are faster compared to milling machines.

Assembled component

CNC Milled components for the offshore on our 5-axis machining center. The different parts are sub-assembled and fitted with seals and rubbers.
